2010 SEASON BEGINS MONDAY

All,
I hope everyone is as excited as I am to begin the 2010 Harmony Cross Country Season! Practice will be Monday, August 9, from 6:00-7:15 at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.
PLEASE PARK EITHER BY THE PLAYGROUND IN THE GRAVEL LOT, OR IN THE NATURE CENTER PARKING LOT. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CARS IN FRONT OF THE FIELD HOUSE....EVEN TO DROP YOUR CHILD OFF. THERE IS A NEW DROP OFF CIRCLE IN FRONT OF THE NATURE CENTER. IF ALL OF THE MENTION PARKING IS FULL PLEASE PULL INTO THE GRASSY AREA BETWEEN THE CARE TAKERS HOUSE AND THE NATURE CENTER LOT. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD ANYONE PARK ALONG THE ROAD LEADING TO THE NATURE PRESERVE OR IN THE LIBRARY PARKING LOT.
I understand that some may have to be late or even miss due to Open House at the school. Please make an attempt to stop by the Nature Preserve to at least turn in the required paperwork. The KY Sport Physical (filled out by a Health Care Provider), Oldham County Board of Ed. Form, and the Harmony Cross Country Procedures Form.
We will be following the KHSAA Heat Index Guidelines with a more conservative cancelation heat index. KHSAA says no activity when the Heat index is above 104, we will not run if the Heat Index is above 100. Again, this Monday, even if we don't run, please try to stop by the Nature Preserve to turn in the required paperwork. If the Heat Index is too high to run, we may at least do some of our stretches in the shade.
