Hello All

The harmony cross country banquet will be Tuesday November 1st at 6:30 pm in the Harmony cafeteria. The team funds will provide pizza,drinks and cake! If everyone with the last names from A-S bring a side/appetizer and T-Z bring something sweet.

Practices and State Meet

Practices this week:

Tuesday - 6pm Normal Practice and 5:30pm for any 5th grader interested in running with NOMS next year. Both at Creasey Mahan.

Thursday - 6pm at Hays Kennedy Park, Creasey Mahan will be closed for set up of the Halloween event.

The Meet is at Masterson Station Park in Lexington, 3051 Leestown Rd:
Directions: From I-64 west - Take Exit 65. Turn right. Go down the hill to the intersection. Turn left toward Lexington. Go 7.8 miles. Turn left in to Masterson Station Park.

Please allow extra time for traffic and parking, there are 4,000 runners registered. There is a $5 admission charge for every spectator and dogs are not allowed in the park. Medals are awarded to the top 50 in each race.

Final Schedule

Hello Team - Below is our final meet and practice schedule.

10/13 - Practice 6pm
10/15 - Meet at OCHS, last in-season meet.
No practices during Fall Break, but those of you running state please try to run on your own.
10/25 - Practice at 5:30 for any 5th graders interested in running with the Middle School next year. Regular practice will be at 6pm.
10/27 - Practice 6pm
10/29 - State Meet for those who have registered with me.
11/1 - End of Season Banquet!

Coach Levdahl with NOMS has invited our 5th graders to participate with them during their practice on Tuesday the 25th at 5:30pm. This is a great opportunity for any 5th grader interested in continuing their Cross Country carrier and to meet the NOMS team. They meet under the big tree on the other side of the field house, I will be there to run with them as well. If you plan to attend please wear your Harmony team shirt(not your uniform) so he can recognize us because other schools will also be there. We will still have our regular practice starting at 6pm for the rest of our team.

Directions: From Louisville. Take I-71 North to the Campbellsburg Exit (exit 34), Turn left off of the ramp onto Hwy. 421, Travel approximately 7-8 miles to Bedford, Turn right at the stop light (US 42/US 421/Main Street), Keep to the left of the fork onto US 421, Travel approximately 5 miles, (You should pass Trimble County High School), Trimble County Park will be on your right. Buses take the 2nd entrance. All other vehicles should take the 1st entrance. Admission $4

**Please Read** KY State Meet Info

Hello parents - Several of you have asked about the KY State meet on Oct. 29th in Lexington. Before the season started it was decided not to enter it unless we had enough runners to form a team. We reduced our team fees so all the runners would not pay for a meet they may not attend.

I will support Harmony entering the meet but we will need at minimum 5 and no more than 7 runners in a division to run. They are, 6th grade and under boys and girls, and 4th and under boys and girls. There are also open races where the girls and boys run together and there is no team scoring. Cost will be about $8 per runner plus they charge $5 for every spectator.

The schedule is as follows:
12:00pm 6th & under girls
12:30pm 6th & under boys
1:00pm 6th & under open girls & boys combined
3:30pm 4th & under girls
3:50pm 4th & under boys
4:10pm 4th & under open girls & boys combined

If we enter a team in the 6th and under division we will be running against the best 6th graders in the state which we as coaches have never agreed with. The decision is completely up to you guys, it is a huge, crowded meet that will take the entire day. Right now our season will end after the Oct. 15 meet and I will schedule the banquet the last week of October. If we run State, the banquet will be the first week of November.
